Former Gim\u00e9nez Indarte<\/h2>\n

Gim\u00e9nez Indarte was founded by <\/span>Mr. Bernardino Gim\u00e9nez in 1927<\/b><\/span>, when he acquired the <\/span>Jijona<\/b><\/span> breed crossed with <\/span>Veragua<\/b><\/span> from the widow of Mr. Dami\u00e1n Gil Flores. The bulls fought for the first time in Madrid in the Plaza de la Carretera de Arag\u00f3n on 15 August 1932.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 1941, after selling what remained of the Jijona-Veragua breed, Mr. Gim\u00e9nez bought a batch of cows and two stud bulls from the Marqu\u00e9s de Villamarta, establishing a new ranch with a new bloodline and brand. The brand was altered, resulting in an inverted triangle with a cross at the top, and the red, white and blue coloured ribbon was maintained. Undoubtedly satisfied, in 1948 Mr. Gim\u00e9nez enlarged his holdings by purchasing a second batch of two-year-old bulls and two additional stud bulls from Mr. Clemente Tassara, from the same Villamarta origin.<\/p>\n

Following the death of Mr. Gim\u00e9nez in 1958, the ranch was divided into three parts under the name Hijos de Don Bernardino Gim\u00e9nez<\/i><\/b>, and our portion was named \u201cGim\u00e9nez Indarte\u201d, under the charge of Mr. Gerardo Gim\u00e9nez Mena.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 1970 a new batch of cows and one seed bull were purchased from <\/span>Mr. Manuel Arranz S\u00e1nchez<\/b><\/span> of Salamanca, who had updated his ranch with bulls from Graciliano P\u00e9rez-Tabernero, Antonio P\u00e9rez-Tabernero, Mar\u00eda Montalvo and Conde de la Corte. Finally, in 1987 a new bloodline from <\/span>Marqu\u00e9s de Domecq and Salvador Domecq-El Torero<\/b><\/span> was introduced, comprising the bulk of the current batch under the charge of Mr. Gerardo Gim\u00e9nez Ortega and Mr. Enrique Gim\u00e9nez Ortega since 1992.<\/span><\/p>\n
